Donald W. Strobeck, 72, of 8891 Superior Ave., Cicero, died Wednesday at Highgate Manor, Cortland, after a long illness.
Mr. Strobeck was a native of Syracuse. He was owner and operator for many years of Strobeck Insurance Co.
Mr. Strobeck was a charter member of the North Syracuse Rotary and a member of Centerville Lodge, F&AM. He was a Navty veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Eric of Port Huron, Mich.; two daughters, Sheree Hall of Hastings and Stacy Strobeck of Hastings; his former wife, Elizabeth Travis Damon of Cicero; a brother, Harwood of Eagle Bridge; six sisters, Laura Arthur of Cicero, Harriet Rose of Liverpool, Kathleen Fales of Isle LaMotte, Vt., Beverly Weaver of Mattydale, Carol Brann of North Syracuse and Marie Brown of Edgewater, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Stone of Hastings; a stepson, Charles Lindsey of West Monroe; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 209 N. Main St.
