Edwin A. Wilcox Dies at Age of 76

Edwin A. Wilcox, 76, a native of this village, passed away Tuesday at his home, 5 Second Street, after a short illness. He had recently lived in retirement. Formerly he had farmed at the old Wilcox homestead in Hillsboro, and of late had resided in Syracuse.

Mr. Wilcox was born in Hillsboro July 21, 1868, a son of Frederick and Julia Loevenguth Wilcox. The former Miss Lillian Bostwick became his wife on Mar. 25, 1914, the ceremony being performed at Hamilton, Bermuda.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his widow are two sisters, Mrs. Charles Clark, Camden, and Mrs. Frank B. Allen, Syracuse; a brother, Chester, Madison, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. W. H. Bradley, pastor of the Methodist Church, will conduct funeral services Friday at the late home at 10:30 a.m. Interment in charge of B.A. Sanborn & Son will be made in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
