At 6:30 this morning Mrs. Elizabeth Fox, widow of the late David J. Fox, died at the home of her
son, Silas W. Fox, near Russell's mill on the road to Florence Hill. She had been in feeble
health since three years ago, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis. Last spring she had
another, and only a few weeks ago she had a poor spell from which she never rallied.
Deceased was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Loevenguth, early settlers in this town. She
was born in Camden, and had she lived until April 4th would have been 64 years of age.
Practically her whole life had been passed here. Her marriage to the late David J. Fox, who
died a year ago last December, occurred in Florence, and the first three years of their wedded
life were spent in Osceola. Returning to Camden they settled on the homestead in Hillsboro
where she remained until after his death. Mrs. Fox had many friends, who will be saddened today
to learn of her death. In religious faith she was a Methodist.
She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and two daughters -- Mrs. Geo. A. Dana of Lincoln, Neb.,
Mrs. W.F. Babcock, Silas W. and John P. Fox of Camden; a brother, George J. Loevenguth and a
sister, Mrs. Julia Wilcox, both of this town.
The funeral will be held at the home of her son Silas Saturday at 2 p.m.
FOX - In Camden, N. Y., January 6, 1910, Mrs. David J. Fox in her 64th year.
