Mrs. Harriett Fleming Died This Morning

Mrs. Harriett Fleming, who has been sick for the past nine months with pneumonia, at the home of her nephew, L. Dana Ward, died this morning at 7 o'clock.

Harriett H. Dana was born April 12, 1831 in Annsville and was 84 years of age. She was a daughter of the late Elijah and Eunice Kingsley Dana who were among the first settlers in Annsville. Her death removes the last of the Elijah Dana family. She was married to Moses Simpkins of Empeyville and two children were born to them, Mason Simpkins of Ruby Mont., and Mrs. Nellie Plumb of Boonville, who survive her. Her second marriage was to Mr. Lewis Fleming.

Mrs. Fleming has been a member of the Methodist church for many years and was a devout Christian and most lovable woman.

The funeral will be held from the home of L. Dana Ward Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Frederic Mounder will be the officiating clergyman.
