Where Funeral was Held Yesterday Afternoon.

With the death of Mrs. Isabelle Dixon Carleton, widow of the late James Carleton, which occurred at the family home on the Mexico road Saturday afternoon, another of the old residents of the town has passed to the better life. Mrs. Carleton was a highly esteemed woman and in the community where she had long resided will be missed as a kind neighbor and loyal friend.

Isabelle Dixon, a native of Bathurst, Canada, was born April 7, 1845, nearly 85 years ago. Her parents were the late James and Mary Bigrove Dixon. She had been in the United States about sixty years and over thirty years ago became the wife of James Carleton. Since the death of Mr. Carleton, a number of years ago, she had continued her home on the farm with her step-son, Otto Carleton, besides whom she leaves a sister, Mrs. John Campbell of Toronto, Canada, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carleton will be missed by the many who esteemed her friendship. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal church of this village, and when health permitted a regular attendant.

At 2 yesterday afternoon in the little church which she had attended for a great many years, friends assembled at the funeral to pay their last tribute of respect. The Rev. F. F. Meyer, rector, officiated. A prayer service preceded at the home at 1:30 o'clock. Bearers were George Miller, Frank Henry, John Ruscher, and Loomis Milliman. Interment, Forest Park cemetery.

From out of town to attend services were Mrs. Minnie Stephens of West Burlington, N.Y., Mrs. Geo. Joyner and Mrs. Alexander Murray, both of Toronto, Canada.
