He was born in Taberg May 28, 1909, son of Benjamin and Alice Armstrong, and attended Taberg School. On Oct. 10, 1940, in Carthage, he married the former Sarah Kidney, who died June 10, 1957.
Mr. Armstrong, a 32-year employe of Revere's Rome Division, had lived in the Blossvale area for 26 years and prior to that in Taberg. He was a member of the Blossvale Union Chapel.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John N. (Sheila) Finster, Lee, and Miss Rose M. Armstrong, at home; two sons, Charles B. Armstrong, Taberg, and Paul W. Armstrong, at home; six sisters, Mrs. Emma Hicks and Mrs. C. B. (Ruth) Conner, both of Rome; Mrs. George (Bessie) McCann, Taberg; Mrs. Samuel (Alice) O'Dell and Mrs. Edwin L. (Mabel) Marggi, both of Westmoreland; Mrs. George (Bertha) Bennett, Kodiak Island, Alaska; three brothers, Frank, Blossvale; Elmer, Lee Center, and Ellsworth, Taberg, and seven grandchildren.
Another brother, James G. Armstrong, died Aug. 10, 1966.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg. Friends may call at the Nunn Funeral Home today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
