MRS. JAMES W. DERRENT

Mrs. Mary Derrent died at her home in Lowville Friday morning, after an illness of nearly three
years, of Bright's disease. The funeral was largely attended on Sunday and the remains were
brought to this village for interment, by the afternoon train Monday. Mrs. Derrent was a Camden
girl, living until their removal to Lowville some ten or twelve years ago. She was much thought
of in this community and greatly beloved by a large circle of relatives and friends. She leaves
a husband and two daughters 13 and 11 years of age, her mother, Mrs. John Lambie, three brothers
and a sister, James A. and W.W. Lambie and Mrs. D. G. Dorrance, jr., of this place, and John
Lambie of Adrian, Mich. Mr. Derrent is himself in a very critical condition and little hope
is extertained for his recovery. One of the daughters will find a home with her grandmother,
in Camden, while the other accompanies her uncle on his return to Michigan.
