Camp -- Rush

At the country home of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Rush near Hillsboro, Ill., Thursday, March 14, occurred
the marriage of their accomplished daughter Iris to Floyd Camp. Chas. P. Rush is a brother of
Jacob Rush of this village, and many remember him as a resident here years ago. The wedding was
a most charming affair, attended by 40 guests. The young couple are to reside at Granite City.
Of them the Hillsboro Journal, in a lengthy article on their wedding says:

"As has been stated in these columns before, the bride is one of our best and most accomplished
young ladies, sweet tempered, jovial and witty, and worthy to grace the pallace of a king.

"The groom is handsome, manly, young man, and worthy of the prize for which he strove so
successfully. He was raised in Lincoln, Ill., where he graduated from the high school with
honors. Eight years ago he began work in the National Enameling and Stamping Works, beginning at
the bottom and working up until he has one of the most responsible positions in the plant, that of
time-keeper in a rolling mill with from 1,500 to 1,800 men under his watchful eye. He has meddled
some in politics and was one of the first aldermen of the city when it was organized. He belongs
to a good family, is genial and polished and a worth companion of his charming bride.
