PHELPS -- Entered into rest at Camden, N.Y., on Monday July 14th, 1873, Miss Sarah Phelps, daughter of the late Albro Phelps, in the 30th year of her age.

The death of this faithful member of Christ brings mourning and sorrow into the circle of beloved friends and kindred; a sorrow full of the "hope of immortality." She was the oldest of six children and was left at the age of fifteen years with the responsibilities of the care of the family resting upon her. She met this responsibility bravely and nobly. By her life of beautiful devotion to those about her, by her quiet, unpretending piety, by her unselfish spirit, by her gentle and meek submission, she "adorned the doctrine of God our Saviour."

She has left a blessed and fragrant memory to comfort those who were the dearest objects of her love. She was member of Trinity church, and among its most active and devout members. She was loved and respected by all.

The large concourse at her funeral on Wednesday, the 16th inst., which was attended by the rector of Trinity church, by whom she was presented, fifteen years ago, for confirmation, and admitted the holy communion, spoke in terms not to be misunderstood of her appreciated worth.
