Mrs. Clifford Armstrong, 65, of 121 Walworth Road, Macedon, formerly of Rome, died yesterday in Wayne North Community Hospital, Newark, N.Y.
The former Valnette Lansing, she was born Feb. 27, 1909 in Rome, daughter of William and Marcia Cleveland Lansing. She attended Rome schools and married Clifford Armstrong in 1937 in Rome.
She had lived in Macedon for 28 years and worked there as town clerk from 1949 to 1959. She was a charter member of the West Walrath Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and member of the United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, William Armstrong, Penfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Prince and Boyd Funeral Home Tuesday at 2. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 Monday.
