April was born Feb. 28, 1975 in Norfolk, Va. She was 6 lbs. 10 ozs. I named her April Fawn Conyers.
I was already separated from her father. He never had anything to do with her....his loss.
This was taken shortly after I met my new husband. I believe he fell in love with April before he fell in love with me!
Shortly after we got married, April had a hard time accepting her new father. She wouldn't eat and she acted up all the time. We never gave up and just kept trying and trying to get through to her. Through the years, she grew to hate her new father.
Today, she lives in Massachusetts, where she works different jobs. One day she hopes to be a writer. She has always been a great poet and story teller. Because of her, her brothers could read before they started school. We still don't all get along real great, but with the Lords help, we are getting better!
April gave birth to her own daughter on Nov. 15, 1995. She was only with us for 2 months but we all loved her with all our hearts because she was a gift from God.
