My New Years prayer for the World

My New Years prayer for the world will be
That all will be just fine.
That everyone will just learn to get along
and everything would be divine.

My prayer is that all hate would disappear
and we could only love,
Just like our saviour taught all of us
from our Father up above.

For all the ignorance we share
that keeps us far apart,
Let's all look deep into each others souls
and not see skin that's light or dark.

God set a rainbow in the sky to show
the love sent from above,
He made us all a living rainbow too
and taught us just to love.

My prayer is for the world to see
the law that Jesus brought,
"Love thy neighbor as you love yourself."
so let's do what He taught.
