My favorite treasures in all my collections are Lighthouses. I have ceramic replicas, pictures, post cards, jigsaw puzzles, lamps, night lights, wind chimes, magnets, etc. Here are some of my most treasured.

I started collecting Lighthouses several years ago when I first heard a gospel song entitled: "The Lighthouse." The song has been an inspiration in my life. Every time I see a Lighthouse, I am reminded of these words...
The
Lighthouse
There's
a Lighthouse on the hillside...
That
overlooks life's sea.
When
I'm tossed...
It
sends out a Light that I might see.
And
the Light that shines in darkness now...
Will
safely lead me o'er.
And
if it wasn't for The Lighthouse...
This
ship would sail no more.
Everybody
who lives around us...
Says
go on and tear that old Lighthouse down.
The
big ships don't sail this way anymore...
Ain't
no use in its standing 'round.
But
then my mind goes back to a stormy night...
When
just in time... I saw the Light...
Oh,
the Light from that old Lighthouse...
That
stands up there on a hill.
And
I thank God for The Lighthouse...
I
owe my life to Him...
King
Jesus is The Lighthouse...
And
from the rocks of sin...
He
has shone His Light around me...
That
I might clearly see...
And
if it wasn't for The Lighthouse...
Where
would this ship be?
And if you are moved by the awe and splendor of real Lighthouses, as I am, here are some links I have visited on the net that tell the stories of the old landmarks, and feature many beautiful photos of these majestic structures.
