Collies
There are
two types of collies, rough-coated or smooth-coated. Rough-coated
collies have long, thick fur while smooth-coated collies have short fur.
Lassie, a TV and movie star is a rough-coated Collie. All Collies
have light brown, white and sometimes dark brown fur.
Collies are known
for their affection for children.
Border Collies:
Border collies
have black and white coats. They're used for herding sheep.
A shepherd is able to manage a large group of sheep or cattle with just
one border collie. Pretty smart dog if you ask me!
