Back again.. but will be more subtle.
Four months is a long time to be in a self imposed hiding. I am no terrorist to continue hiding. So I am back to write gibberish.. to be gobbled up by who else but my friends. No way would I be an acceptable 'writer'. Hence I continue to be a 'writer' here.
So what is happening on the earth. I have not been up to date with the happenings. I only know the stock market in India crashed. It is a magnum opus of a kind rewritten annually. All my profits wiped out overnight. So I start from scratch. I guess this is a repetition of what is happening on my personal front. I am starting from scratch making new relationships around too.
The lates issue of the "Outlook" magazine brings out some apocalyptic points - The Business of Mass Murder by Arundhati Roy. It is first the genocide.. then the denial of it by the State and compound it with a celebration with the State as a happy spectator. I, and am sure a lot of us, must be alarmed at the way the Gujarat leadership gets away with absolute genocide. Do I blame the people around who elected Modi, or are we all part of the neo fascism in the name of relegion and culture. The more we are affluent, and the more we are loud.. we sure can get away with even genocide. Economic prosperity was the mask which these fascists wear, and incidentally even this beautiful mask is a plastic Modi mask. Do we just sit back and enjoy the outrageous drama of killing on the big political screen? I am sitting back.. watching yes.. seething with anger - also a big YES. There needs to be a medium to vent myself out.
Kudos to the great people of Gujarat. I hope next time around, at least common sense prevails.
