The world could be better place to live in.
The Great American Arrogance
photo

On the eve of President Bush's visit to Africa this week, I was listening today to his send-off speech before his departure. Two things struck me when I was listening to him - live.

The first thing he said was "Africa is a potential country in the 21st century". I dont know what he meant by this. Sensible peace loving people round the world outside the US should expect "Desert Africa" aka "Desert Storm" in the coming years. Looks like Africa is the only continent which is still untouched by the diabolical hegemony of the US. So we should be able to see some action there too. I am sure the news channels would be busy getting 'embedded' newscasters ready to cover the 'spectacle'. I dont know where they will begin with.. Kenya if it is tomorrow as it is a hot spot now. Zimbabwe is definitely a likely candidate.. Sudan (for Darfur) and Somalia (sorry Safia) are a couple of collaterally susceptible countries. I understand the inflation rate in Zimbabwe has increased by 61 percent this year.. It does not look like inflation.. just sheer embezzlement by Mugabe. I dont know where or for whom he is hoarding all this wealth at the cost of his own people.

The second thing one of his spokesperson said was : This is a chance for Bush to show the compassionate face of the government. Malaria, AIDS.. etc. I am sure if all the big pharmaceutical companies round the world are allowed to just sell their anti malaria and anti AIDS drugs to Africa without cost regulations by the federal authorities, Africa would be a paradise. I have a feeling Africa is kept "pending" by the US for a later usage. The continent is rich in every natural resource that can make it more rich and powerful than the US.

So let us wait and watch for Bush to land in the land of slaves. Will write about his wise utterings later next week.

In fact the American arrogance based on nothing is so great that they refuse to accept the enrichment of the whole world which is outside the US. Small countries like Vietnam and Laos are also making important strides in both economy and human resources, let alone Brazil, Russia, India and China who are much ahead of America in everything which is developmental. I only fear that Africa should not go the Mesopotamian Iraqi way. It would hurt very much the downtrodden, and hungry people of the great African nation.

I know there is one person who can be a nuisance value to Bush when it comes to Africa - Colonel Muammar Al- Gaddafi. He would be like President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela or Fidel Castro in Cuba - Just a big pain in the butt. Guys just a piece of general knowledge.. promotions in the army stops at the rank of Colonel in Lybia.

Love to all mankind - John
