![]() |
Platte E. Clark, first counselor in the Langley Ward Bishopric, attended high school in Idaho and Utah. Between high school and college Platte served a mission in Western Canada. He holds two degrees from the University of Utah: one in accounting, the other in law. Platte is the father of one son, and one daughter. His son, Platte F, is the father of three children (including a grandson named Platte - the 4th due 8/2/99). His daughter, Tifany, is the mother of two children. Claudia attended high school in Utah. She is the mother of four sons. From her two married sons Claudia has four grand children, and three step-grand children. One of her son's passed away in a drowning accident at age fourteen. Claudia is hoping for more grand children and thus wishes her other son, who is single, will marry soon. Platte and Claudia met at their Bountiful High School 30 year class reunion for the class of 1957. Platte has lived in the Reston, Virginia area for over 22 years, ten of which he has spent with Claudia. Platte works for the Department of Interior where he is serving as the Acting Chief of the Appeals Division in the Minerals Management Service. Claudia works out of their home maintaining accounting records for assorted professional clients. The Clarks are thoroughly enjoying their assignment in the Langley Ward and are grateful to associate with so many beautiful, handsome, intelligent, cheerful, and spiritual young adults. They delight in being the surrogate father and mother to many Langley Ward members who's own parents live many miles away. |
