Beliefs Our church is based on the following statement of faith:
We believe in the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments, as wholly inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and the supreme-final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one GOD, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that JESUS CHRIST, the eternally pre-existent Son, humbled Himself, being born of the virgin Mary; and that He is true God and true man. Further, we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
We believe that the HOLY SPIRIT is God; distinct in person, and equal in essence. Further, the Holy Spirit is actively convicting man of sin, and permanently indwelling the believer.
We believe that MAN was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spieitual death which is seperation from God. Therefore, all human beings are born witha sinful nature, and needing salvation.
We believe the good news of SALVATION is offered to all the world. Any person who receives, by fatih alone, the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour is "born again" of the Holy Spirit. Thereby, he becomes a child of God. Further, we believe that all those who are "born again" have everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation.
We believe in the UNIVERSAL CHURCH, comprised of all who have been "born again" during this period of grace; and in the LOCAL CHURCH, an assembly of believers organized for the worship of God, work of the ministry, and witness to the world.
We believe in the physical RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: first, for His church in the air; secondly, to the eath to establish His earthly reign. Further, we believe that a period of seven year tribulation will occur between these two events.. |
