The Bear.
"White as the snow,
Sat down on the ice .
Near the cold water's flow.
"Lunch! I need lunch" he said;"
"I'll make a wish."
He stuck in his paw
And came up with a fish! "

The Elk.
Eddie the Elk sat at home one day,
He couldn't work and he wouldn't play.
He was discouraged and annoyed,
This sad young elk was unemployed.
He had many interviews,
That always ended in bad news.
He would go but they would say,
"We're not hiring elks today."
Eddie cried, "Oh, what's the use
My life is filled with elk abuse."
His mother said, "There's no excuse,
To lay around like a lazy moose.".
Eddie the Elk sat at home one day,
He couldn't work and he wouldn't play.

Shining fir-tree Ribboned in light.
Through wide windows In darkening sky,
Star of Christmas Shimmers so high.
On the branches Each glowing light,
Mirrors the star Of Christmas night.

A good time is coming, I wish it were here,
The very best time in the whole of the year;
I'm counting each day on my fingers and thumbs --
the weeks that must pass before Santa Claus comes.
Then when the first snowflakes begin to come down,
And the wind whistles sharp and the branches are brown,
I'll not mind the cold, though my fingers it numbs,
For it brings the time nearer when Santa Claus comes.
