When I Lost Him,
I Lost A Part Of Me.
Eight Years to the day,
You gave up life's struggle,
And went on your way.
You left me in torment,
Even now, I'm still grieving,
I had so much to tell you,
Had I known you were leaving.
I know you can hear me,
So I'll put it into rhyme,
And read it at your graveside,
When I feel that it is time.
I never told you that I loved you,
I know, You knew this anyway,
I never thanked you for my upbringing,
And the advice you gave me everyday.
I'll always miss you, Never forget you,
Your in my thoughts, and when I pray,
But we will meet, Far in the future,
When it's my time, To be called away.
