A Walk Down Memory Lane - Who Could Forget

Remember the major “walk out” scheduled for 11:00 A.M. promptly over the dress code !!!

John Osborne said that whenever he hears his youngest daughter sing, “I’m a Little Teapot” he is reminded of Tom Duncan’s rendition of that nursery song in Mrs. Harold’s English class. He believes that it fulfilled a requirement to recite a favorite poem.  From his perspective now, Mrs. Harold must have been a pretty good sport!!

Those were the days my friend.

Can’t remember that far back!!!

Caryn Veasey wanted to make a correction”  There’s no business like show business” was sung by her and not Donna Ricca (God rest her soul!) and when asked for a trivia question, Caryn’s reply was “After all the sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, her memory is shot!!

Nick said he remembers attending the annual Omega Rho Shea stadium trip and returning to deposit empty “soda” cups on the High School lawn, hanging at the “Y”, cruising the avenue .  High school dances after ˝ pint of Bali Hai and/or quart of beer and Saturday swimming pool excursion.

Maria Nieto remembers Mr. Gaul referring to his students in the class as “bobo”

Mary Browarny DeTaranto said that on her first day as a transfer student  in the 11th grade her English teacher assigned her the role of Emily in Our Town, she had to the love scene with Jim McKeown by throwing herself into his arms. It was VERY embarrassing for her but Jim and her became good friends!

A Few Words to Classmates:

Gail Anderson  - regrettably she is unable to attend the reunion

Don Evert - I would have wanted to be there but am committed to prior travel plans.

Linda Lukaszewski Hazard - Have a good time

Glen Murray - Remembers playing roulette in Mr. Kopacki’s chemistry class with the centrifuge

Maria Nieto sends her best wishes for continued health, success and prosperity.

John Osborne - My memories of Kearny, KHS, and my friends and teammates, teachers and coaches are some of my best.  I miss the carefree life of those days.  I treasure the love and happiness shared with two great parents and two sisters that seem to characterize my remembrance of the 1960's & 1970's.  Today I enjoy the opportunity to help create that for my own children.

Glen Perry - Glad everyone is well.  Let’s pay tribute to those who have departed.

John Peters - Just loved gym class with Mr. Gibson - the old fart

Peter Teresavage - Sorry that he could not make it and hopes that he may be able to make it the next time!

Kenneth J. Tullo - sends all his best wishes and good luck

Nancy Turner said that it would have been nice to see everyone again.  She is afraid that she has lost touch with all from KHS and that other travel plans for the holiday kept her from attending.  Have fun and best wishes to all!

Caryn Veasey - Hope you are all healthy, wealthy and young at heart!!!!

Bill Zacheiss - Best wishes to all, this has brought back a lot of good memories.
