CHRISTMAS JAVA COUNTDOWN FROM FITZWEB
Thank you for downloading the Christmas Countdown
from FitzWeb. This java applet and others are
available for FREE at www.fitzweb.com
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING AND USING THE COUNTDOWN
You should have 3 files after unzipping the download:
- Christmas1.class
- christmas1.gif
- christmas1.txt (this file)
All you need to do is add an HTML tag (see example)
to your web page and upload your page, the .class file,
and the .gif file to the same directory on your web
server, and you are good to go.
Here is the applet tag for your web page:

NOTES:
It is necessary for both the .class file and the
.gif file to be in the same directory as the web page
from which they are called, otherwise the applet will
not work!
No parameters are needed for this applet.
The applet automatically changes the count at midnight.
The applet displays the countdown based on the visitor's
computer time, not that of the server. If a visitor
complains that the countdown is wrong, they probably
have the time set incorrectly on their computer.
Do not alter the .gif file, or the applet may display
weird results.
If you alter the .class file, it won't work at all.
The applet should work with any broswer (3.0 or better).
Please don't write to me for help in writing your HTML
page or uploading files to your site. If you don't
know how to do these basic things, you probably
shouldn't be starting with an applet.
