This is my daughter Shannon's sign on Rt.16 coming into town from the west. She also has one just like it on the east side of town. She won Best of Graphic, Best of Show, for her charcoal drawing of Bret, which is just below.
Bret is my nephew, Nisa Dykstra's son. Trust me, it looks just like him! Shannon gets to have her sign up for 1 - 2 years. I hope they give them to her at the end of that time. I'll put one at my house for certain! Shannon is attending SIU-E this year, majoring in art. She may do a minor in Pschology so she can become an art therapist, but this remains to be seen.
