Do you have what it takes to take my challenge?

No matter what you call it, cursing, foul language, bad language, being macho, cool and what not. It is still foul, not cool and is sin. Can't you think of anything better to say?

And what's more, you can sin by causing someone else to fall into this sin.

Have you noticed all throughout the old testament, the Kings were held accountable for the people falling into the same sins.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:7 KJV
Hard to understand this language? Take a look at the NIV...You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. Exodus 20:7 NIV
In other words, don't sware/curse using God's name! God is holy. His name is holy. If you swear/curse using God's name, you will be held acountable!

God wants each of us to turn from our sins and turn to God. What does this mean? Stop sinning! Seek God's face by reading His word (Bible-King James Version is most accurate) and pray for God to help you turn from your sins for good! God can help "For with God, nothing shall be impossible" (St. Luke 1:37 KJV)

This brings us to my challenge to you. In an effort to help you. Instead of using bad language, stop yourself and think of something else. Be creative and keep it clean!

Well? Do you have what it takes to take my challenge? If you need to, pray for control as well. God can help you break this habit/sin along with others because God desires you to be righteous and holy and "For with God, nothing shall be impossible" St. Luke 1:37.

Here are some substitions that have helped me:
"Rats"
When things are going really bad and that urge comes on, growl! Not some little growl...a big one that will send those bunny slippers running for cover!
"Oh, man!"
Here are suggestions that have helped others:
My thing is to say "sugar" -- heavy emphasis on the 'su' if things reach the point where I can't keep from saying something.  When I say it, it looks like I'm smiling so if there is another person involved, the negative 'vibrations' will not increase.
I have also found that repeating "zip-pa-de-do-da, zip-pa-de-day" helps since one (normally) automatically smiles when saying this.  by Janet

Personally, I liked the growl :o) You get the idea! Please let me know if this has helped you.
