Ruth Geraldine (Jerry) ACKLEY was born about 1905 in Granville, Licking , Ohio.^21,33,34,36 On 10 Apr 1930 she was a Typist for a Power Company at Granville, Licking , Ohio.³⁴ She died on 11 Mar 1998 in Athens, Clarke, Georgia.³⁶ Her Obituary appeared in the Athens Daily News/Banner-Herald on 13 Mar 1998 in Athens, Clarke, Georgia Ruth Geraldine (Jerry) Abney, 93, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998.
A native of Granville, Ohio, Mrs. Abney was a daughter of the late
Jeremiah W. and Alice P. Ackley and widow of H.I. (Jack) Abney. She
was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, served on the Altar Guild






for more than 40 years and was a member of St. Martha's Guild and the
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Guild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Oconee Hill Cemetery
with the Rev. Eddie Ard officiating.
Survivors include a niece, Frances Abney Coile, Sanibel, Fla.; a
nephew, George M. Abney, Athens; and great-nieces and great-nephews.






In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Episcopal
Church, 498 Prince Ave., Athens 30606 She was buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery, Athens, Clarke, Georgia.³⁶ She appeared in the census 1910, 1920 & 1930 in Ohio.
