PRAYER

I asked God to take away my pain. God said, "No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up."
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, "No.
Her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary."
I asked God to grant me patience. God said, "No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations, it isn't granted, it
is earned."
I asked God to give me happiness. God said, "No.
I give you blessings, happiness is up to you."
I asked God to spare me pain. God said, "No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you
closer to me."
I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, "No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you
fruitful."
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, "No.
I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things."
I ask God to help me LOVE others as much as he loves me.
God said..."Ahhhh, finally you have the idea."

The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
My church is a
very important and special part of my life. It IS my life.
I became a member
in 1977 while living in Scarborough, Ontario.
I have spent those
years studying it's doctrines and actively participating in it's activities.
It has blessed my
life.
For those who
earnestly want to know of it's teachings, feel free to browse through the links
to your heart's
content. You will find much that is interesting and informative.
I know that it is
the true Church of Jesus Christ upon the earth today.
I know that it is
lead by a living prophet.
I know that the
Book of Mormon is the word of God as well as the Bible.
I know that if we follow the counsel we have been given and live according to
it's teachings
that we will have happiness in this life and have the opportunity to live
forever with our families.
I sing in our choir, am the Choir President and also currently secretary to the
Young
Women's Organization. I have held many other positions both administrative and
teaching.
Most of my years have been teaching either the Young Women or the Relief
Society, which is the Women's Organization (the largest Women's Organization in
the world.)
