2 i. Margaret² THWAITES was born in Melbourne, Vic., Aus. 19 December 1844. She married Edward Thomas JOHNSTONE in Melbourne, Vic., Aus., 8 December 1869. Edward was born in Carrickfergus, Nth Irl 26 April 1841. Edward was the son of Thomas ("Whinfield" and "Glenfield") JOHNSTONE and Eleanor GLENFIELD. Edward died 12 January 1908 Hospital Melbourne, Aus., at 66 years of age. His body was interred 13 January 1908 in Melbourne General Cemetery.
