Could anything be so horrific, so tragic, so unbelievable as to bring tears to our national symbol?
How ironic such a tragedy would happen on the numerical date of our nations universal emergency number, 911

The lives of all Americans will be forever changed due to the tragedy at the World Trade Center and Pentagon, but we will survive!

Tears are shed and an eternal candle is lit for

...all Americans
...the pilots and their crew
...all victims missing and unaccounted
...the families and friends of innocent victims
...the children who lost their lives in this senseless act
...the husbands and wives who were once two and now one
...the firefighters, rescue workers, policemen and their families
...all families who wait for words about their missing loved ones
...the parent who has to tell their child "your Mom won't be home"
...the children who will grow up without one or both of their parents
...the Grandparents who will not get to see their grandchildren grow up
...the Mothers and Fathers who will no longer be with their children and families
...the parents and grandparents who must explain to their families why this tragedy happened
