THEN I KNOWWhen the mockingbird sings its lovely song,Then I listen. Various notes fill the air, And it seems so free from care, So I listen. When a lilac spreads its fragrance far and wide, Then I smell. It gives off sweetest scent, Though the odor soon is spent. So I smell. When a fir tree grows so ever green and tall, Then I view, As it points me to the sky, I know the Creator's nigh, So I view. When I think upon the glory of it all, Then I know. As I ponder nature's store, It can thrill me to the core, So I know. Copyright 1998, Kathryn Terrell His Child Index |
