VINEGAR OR HONEY?

One faced me with a deadly sword,
I quickly used my shield.
One faced me with a kindly deed,
and now I find I yield.

One smacked me with a clenched-up fist,
I yelped and ran for cover.
One gave me a big bear hug,
I wished he was my mother.

So if you wish to convince me, friend,
Please, think before you speak.
Vinegar never won the game,
When bees are what you seek.

SPACE

As I look into the sky, what do I see?
Millions of eyes looking back at me.
Somewhere out in this endless space
My Creator dwells, and I shall see His face.

Endless space beyond man's view.
We here on earth are but a tiny few
Of beings in space who worship their Maker,
While here on earth we fight the evil faker.

Yes, he hurts all he can, pretending to be God,
Though he too was made of similar looking sod.
But in the outer space my Creator-Redeemer abides.
Also within my heart and mind He now resides.

Someday the children of God will have taken
The place fallen angels have forsaken,
Because of their evil jealousy and pride.
We fill their place out in outer space.

FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE

If you want your love to last
When all the dreams are past
When excitement dies away
And routine's here to stay

Take time to make a friend
See what you have in common
Just be a friend in deed
Know where you are agreed

Don't touch or even kiss
Lest your friendship go amiss
Get to know them well
Draw them from their shell

Someday the time may come
When you will miss this one
When you have gone away
In heart they're there to stay

If true friends you still are
Your love will send you far
Then you'll never part
True love is in the heart

REBIRTH

She flew above, this gentle dove,
She could not see a single tree.
No place to land, not even sand,
Alone was she on stormy sea.

Forty days the rain poured down,
Till water covered each inch of ground.
So when the tiny dove flew out,
All she did was fly about.

Next raven sent--he flew away,
And those within could only pray.
Would the water soon recede?
May the Lord fulfill their need.

All the minds of beast and man
Didn't know their Maker's plan,
So anxiously they waited on
For a special, glorious dawn.

Gentle dove, again your turn.
Fly away, but please return.
Bring the news we long to hear.
Come back and take away all fear.

Eight waited in the wooden boat,
The darkened waters rocky float,
Till dove returned with olive leaf.
Praising God, they sang relief.

Soon the earth was born again.
Here and there spread beast and men.
Flowers blossomed, beasts gave birth,
Life renewed upon the earth.

ALL ALONE

Have you ever felt alone,
All alone,
As if in a desert home?

Where no one cares or knows,
All alone,
Your heart so full of woes.

No one sees your sorrow,
All alone,
How will you face tomorrow?

If in this world you seem
All alone,
The Lord can still redeem.

He will never leave you
All alone,
In love He will receive you.

Then you'll never, ever be
All alone.
