She married twice. She married William Alexander Minter Lee Co. VA, September 23, 1853. William
was born April 21, 1832 in Jonesville, Lee Co. Va.. William was the son of Charles Minter and Mary Y. Alexander.
William died March 13, 1883 in Welchburg, Jackson Co. Ky., at 50 years of age. His body was interred Aft. March 13,1883
in Liberty Baptist, Cemetery Egypt, Ky.. She married May Holcombe Ponder After 1883. May was
born January 30, 1827 in North Carolina. May was the son of Joseph Ponder and Catherine Holcombe. May died 1902
Garrard Co. KY, at 75 years of age.

Charles McClellan Minter Born and raised in Jackson County Kentucky, in the community of Welchgurg. He married Mary Ann Powell, daughter of Hiram Sargent & Anna "Dixon" Powell. He and Mary Ann had three children while still living in Kentucky. The first two boys, Ewing Carter & John Dixon Minter, died in infancy. They are buried in the Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Egypt, Kentucky, next to their grand father William Alexander Minter. The third child, a girl, Anna accompanied them to Oregon in 1884. After settleing in Douglas County, Oregon, in the community of Tyee, referred to as the Kentucky Settlement. They had six more children, William Cyrus, Charles Franklin, Robert Dillard, Harold Avery, Dayton & Lucy. Clen, as he was known, worked as a ferry tender on the Umpqua River. He was Mason, belonging to the Elkton Lodge. He was drowned in the Umpqua River, while assisting three others to streach a ferry cable across the river.
The boat they were in become swamped when the cable reel stuck and the current pulled the boat under. His body was in the river six weeks, before being recovered. His wife Mary Ann, raised the children alone. enduring many hardships along the way.

1955 in McKee Cemetery, McKee, Jackson Co. Ky..
