141. John Tyler⁵ Mainous (Rebecca Amanda⁴ Flanery, Thomas³, John², Thomas¹) was born in Jonesville, Lee Co. Va. December 30, 1849. John died December 29, 1943 Buck Creek, Owsley Co. KY, at 93 years of age.

He married twice. He married Helen Botner Buck Creek, Owsley Co. KY, December 01, 1869. Helen was born September 10, 1855. Helen died September 13, 1887 at 32 years of age. Her body was interred in Mainous Cemetery, Scoville, Owsley Co. Ky.. He married Polly Ann Morgan Buck Creek, Owsley Co. KY, December 01, 1889. Polly was born November 10, 1867 Morgan Farm, Clay Co. KY. Polly died February 01, 1942 Buck Creek, Owsley Co. KY, at 74 years of age.

John Tyler Mainous and Helen Botner had the following children:

+ 475 ii. Martha Jane Mainous was born February 1, 1878.

+ 476 iii. Walter Preston Mainous was born July 1879.

+ 477 iv. Edward Chester Mainous was born September 1881.

+ 478 v. Virginia Mainous was born September 1883.

+ 479 vi. Matilda Mainous was born February 10, 1886.

John Tyler Mainous and Polly Ann Morgan had the following children:

+ 480 vii. William Lazarus Mainous was born September 12, 1890.

481 viii. Lucy Gabbard Mainous was born in Buck Creek, Owsley Co. Ky. July 5, 1892. Lucy died January 16, 1969 at 76 years of age.

+ 482 ix. Lummia Mann Mainous was born February 4, 1894.

+ 483 x. Franklin Mckinley Mainous was born July 29, 1896.

+ 484 xi. Archibald Glass Mainous was born April 7, 1899.

+ 485 xii. Joseph Hampton Mainous was born April 6, 1901.

486 xiii. Isaac Sylvester Mainous was born in Buck Creek, Owsley Co. Ky. October 26, 1903. Isaac died 1995 at 91 years of age. He married Hazel Hicks.

+ 487 xiv. Bessie Katherine Mainous was born October 30, 1908.

+ 488 xv. John Tyler Mainous Jr. was born June 30, 1912.
