Of One who bled and died. Of One who was crucified ~ A Man who was anointed. Who became a sacrifice. And I was told it was for me. They beat Him mercilessly And placed a crown of thorns Upon His head, And nailed Him to a tree. I heard He took my sin, My guilt and shame and pain So that I could truly be free. I heard that He was buried In a sealed tomb. I heard His name was Jesus, And that death could not contain Him. I heard that on the third day He rose again And thus defeated death (Our last great enemy). I heard that He ascended To His Father's Throne And will one day Catch us away To that Heavenly Home.
