"In The Garden"

Silence

Silence.
Where does it come from?
Shall we contemplate?
From a cold and lonesome grave.
Such a final, awesome quiet
Within the dust to which we shall all return.

Silence ~
When the clock stricks twelve
Within a mansion's wall.
Silence so heavy
It makes the skin crawl.

Silence ~
From within a darkened school,
And the phone starts to ring.
The only sound lovers hear
Next to a crystle stream
While the moon's a soft glow
In a star-blackened night.
The final sound from an orchestra
As the last note fades.
