My Vacation

Since my husbands death in August I have been feeling sorry for myself...moping around and getting nothing done. My brother and sister-in-law invited me to visit them in Phoenix, Arizona. They knew I didn't need a pity party but love, kindness and understanding. I listened to my heart, although I hate to fly, what I needed was a change in my life--boy did I get it. So I ran away to Arizona for a few weeks, just what the doctor ordered. They were great, took me sight seeing, shopping, to yard sales and flea markets. I came home with 3 more suitcases than when I left. Just what I needed.

As you can see it was relaxing to the body and mind.

This is a the Cliff Castle Casino on the Indian Reservation between Phoenix and Flagstaff. We stopped briefly for my first ever visit to a casino.

This is Montezuma's Castle, the bottom is a cut away model of the castle and the top is the actual castle carved into the side of the cliff.

The spectacular Grand Canyon, what an awesome sight.

These tepees were displayed at a craft store near the Grand Canyon. I could not resist a true western indian abode.
