I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I have been online
going on 3 years now, I got started when my kids wanted me to hook up for
them, now I am a confirmed addict, my 16 year old son is running an online
business, RAPID WORLD COMPUTER SOLUTIONS,
in Webpage Design, Computer Sales online Tutoring. My daughter just
married this summer, 25 is living and teaching in Calgary. Derek is
a DJ with a Calgary radio station, they too have ventured into the the
world of business called CD ENTERTAINMENT.
I have been married for 30 years to the same gal who has put up with my
antics all that time..*LOL* That is about it for me except the age
thing, 51 and no grandkids to spoil yet!! *grrrrrrrrrr* When I am
not online you will find me either walking, swimming or playing golf. I
have been with the GeoCities Community Leader Program for about two years
and have thus far very much enjoyed it. If you need any assistance, I can
help with with HTML, GeoBuilder, Advanced Editor, Corel WP, FTP programs,
Tables, Frames, Uploading, Windows 95 and what I can't help with I will
find someone who can.
My name is Donna and I have been married for 7 years to
a wonderful man named Don--Don and Donna, isn't that cute!! We have
two wonderful, but very challenging kids: Nicholas and Meghan. Boy,
are these two too smart for their own good! Nicholas is 5 and Meg
will be 3 in February. I am a full-time college student, majoring
in computer programming, and work as a student assistant in the computer
lab at school. I built the web page for the PTK chapter I am in at
school,
view it at http://www.oocities.org/CollegePark/Library/4465.
Because I love doing that and love building web pages, I figured that Geocities
would be a good place to put in some volunteer work and gain experience
in my field. I have had the time of my life creating my web pages
and wanted to share that fun with others. My original major was Nursing,
and I still get some funny looks when I mention what I switched too!
But my family knows where they can find me, so it seemed logical to combine
my love for the computer with a career. I got my first computer,
a 'state-of-the-art' 486/50 for Christmas 1993. From that humble
beginning, we have moved on to having two computers, both Pentium II/350,
and use one for the kids to play on! I am not too outgoing with my
writing, tending to lurk on my mailing lists, but once you get me started
I am hard to stop (witness this bio, LOL!!!).
I am thrilled to be here in Cottage and hanging with
the coconuts! I am not sending Graham a picture, but if you are very
brave, you can see me and all my kids (hubby included!) at http://www.oocities.org/Heartland/6078. If you find yourself in need of help, I can assist in
Windows W3.1, W95, W98 Browsers: MSIE 4.x, Netscape 4.5, Editors: Geo Basic,
Geo Advanced, HTML, Front Page 98, , EZ Upload, help with: PSP, Photoshop
Deluxe, Corel Draw, ICQ, Outlook 98, Outlook Express, MS Office, AOL, Eudora
and Scanning.
My name is Jessica, my membername for GeoCities is momjess,
and on ICQ I am Zena. And sometimes I have as many personalities
to go with my different names. :-) I am a married, mom of two
girls. The oldest, Brittany, is my child from a previous relationship,
she is 5 and started Kindergarten this year. The youngest, Morgan,
is 18 months and very definately her fathers child. The girls have
their own page at EnchantedForest/Palace/6132/.
When I am not on the computer, I am either playing with the girls or loving
my 3 cats, sometimes just spending time with my husband. However,
if I am not on the computer then my husband usually is! :-)
If you need any other info just let me know.
Hi, my name is Paula, also known on the net as crackermoore.
I live in a small village in Texas called Jones Creek with my three adorable
children, ages 6, 5, and 3. I have "lived" in Heartland Bluffs for almost
one year now. I started this adventure on 13 July 1998, and have enjoyed
every minute
of it. I have been a CL now for 9 months and have learned
a lot from the wonderful people I work with.
I am self taught HTML gal and can help with a variety
of things ranging from forms, tables, and any html questions. I am also
well versed with the ins and outs of GedCom files. I serve on these GeoCities
committees--Award of Excellence, Heartland Hallmarks, Foreign Language,
Heartland Genealogy
Society, Critique and Review, Heart of the City, CLAPPS,
Heartland Carnival, Heartland Select, and I am GeoCities mentor. I am also
a CL over in Plains, Fields, Hills and Ranch. I am happy to be over here
in Cottage.
I'm 48 years old, married, and live in a small village
in the middle of vineyards, south of Vienna, Austria. My husband and I
are both working in a large telecommunication company for more than 20
years. I'm quality manager for software development, mainly for ISDN and
Intelligent Networks for phoning. Since 2 years I'm responsible for the
Intranet of my department. Our main hobby is breeding cats. And if some
time besides all computer and software stuff is still left, I like to make
some needleworks and bobbin lacing. I'm also playing the organ. We both
are fans of the mountains and so we spend some holidays climbing up the
mountains.
I joined Geocities Heartland in 1996 and I'm still enjoying
to be there. I've meet a lot of nice people, and Geocities gives us the
great opportunity to learn about a lot of new techniques, graphics, software,
and so on. I'm really an Internet fan, this is for us a great source of
all kinds of information, and to meet a lot of nice people all around the
world. So enjoy and have fun, staying in Geocities.
I have been married to Andy for 36 years, mother of 3
grown children, and grandmother to 3. I live on the front range of Colorado
in the shadow of the mountains. I am still employed fulltime as an executive
secretary for a public school district. Retirement is on the horizon, I'm
just not quite sure yet how close the horizon is. I've been online for
over two years now, love computers and the internet, and
enjoy online volunteer work, which I have been involved
with before. Paint Shop Pro is my computer passion, and I'm always looking
for time to work on my homepage which you can see here. http://www.oocities.org/Heartland/Meadows/4755.
When we have free time to spend away from home we are often
out in the Colorado Rockies in our travel trailer. Our dog and two cats
are also considered members of our family and have very distinct personalities.
They all travel in the trailer with us and tend to run the show. Life is
so interesting, with a new and fun challenge around every corner, so let's
go forth and make webpages.
My name is BeckyJ and I have been married to the most
wonderful man ind the world for almost 6 years now. Together we have
5 children...kind of a "yours, mine and ours" situation. I had one
(daughter - 11), he had two (sons 10 and 9) and WE had two (daughter -
6 and son - 5). So my life here at home keeps me pretty busy.
When I'm not wiping noses and doing homework I love to be on the
internet. Since I first got online February of
97, I have learned so much. All I know about web design and graphics...you
name it. Enough to help out Geocities and become a Community Leader
for the second time around (Heartland/Cottage 6500-6999) and also start
my own business in web design and
desktop publishing.
Geocities has been a wonderful place for my "home on the
web". I have met so many nice and wonderful people since I began
my stay here and continue to meet more every day. So if you need
anything, don't hesitate to call on me and if I don't know the answers
to your questions, we'll have fun learning it together!
I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I am a full-time student.
When I am finished with school, I hope to have a degree in either Psychology
or Computer Applications. I have been on-line for a little over one
year now. In that time I have taught myself everything I know about
HTML and I have become
totally addicted to the wonderful world of computers
and web pages.
When I am not online, I spend my time writing poetry,
reading, or playing the piano. I also have many animals that I love, including
8 ferrets. They are just the loves of my life!
Ever since I moved into my Heartland Home back in April 1998,
I have loved my experience at GeoCities as well as all the nice people
that I have met. Somewhere around October, I decided to become a Community
Leader to give back to all the people that made me feel so welcome in my
new home. Among several committees that I belong to, I am a Community
Leader in both Heartland/Cottage and Heartland/Acres. I have recently
become an HTML Instructor at Heartland
University.

Geo/Paris neighborhood, where I over see 4 suburbs and about a dozen CLs.
My home in Geo/Heartland - Calico Cottage is a home

are...(http://www.oocities.org/Heartland/Cottage/2097)....and
has recently earned the Heartland Hallmark Award....my home in Geo/Paris
- Lysandra's Journey in Romance (http://www.oocities.org/~mslysandra)

one of the last GeoCities Featured Pages.
I love helping others and helping them to create a special
place for themselves in Cyber-Space.....and I truly enjoy the friendships
I have gained through my work...I am glad to be part of this lovely bunch
of
coconuts!.....*giggle*
