THE AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR BREEDS IN THE U.S.A. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL BREED, BUT INDISCRIMINATE BREEDING HAS LEFT SOME OF THESE WONDERFUL DOGS VERY SICK WITH NUMEROUS HEALTH PROBLEMS. IT IS GOOD WITH CHILDREN AND OTHER ANIMALS. THE AMERICAN COCKER SPANIAL IS A VERY FRIENDLY BREED.THE AMERICAN COCKER WAS RECOGNIZED AS A BREED BY THE A.K.C. IN 1946. THEY USUALLY WEIGH ABOUT 24-28 POUNDS. THE COAT REQUIRES MUCH CARE, AND SHOULD BE BRUSHED DAILY.
