This is one of the best sites I have come across since being on the internet. I have been wrestling with the Stafford's in Pasquotank County for ten years. My ggrandmother was Elizabeth Stafford b/1817, her father was Stephen b/1797, her grandfather was
Malichi b/abt 1780, her ggrandfather was Stephen b/abt 1758. I have been unable to tie this branch in with the Stafford's that came from Tiverton, RI. Also, my ggggrandfather, Robert Morgan's second wife was Margaret Stafford b/1778, and her father was
ohn Stafford b/Unk d/Aft 1812. These two families coexisted in Pasquotank in the 1700's and 1800's with names on wills, etc. However, I do not know if they are related. Would like to get my name on your research list. Is that possible?

The Minthorn's from Pendleton, Oregon are also Umatilla Tribal members. Rumor has it, the name came from being adopted by a Dr. Minthorn in Pendleton, Oregon. The name came from President Herbert Hoover's Uncle John Minthorn, who was a quaker that lived
in Newberg, Oregon. Apparently Hoover stayed in Newberg as a child. My question is, if this is true, what was the doctor's name and are their still relatives of their family in Oregon?
