NOTE: This is all we know about Philip. He was not in any other record in Washington Co, VA.He was listed as a Minter in 1810 census but might be a Minton since Ebenezer was also listed as Minter in 1810 census.
(2) John Minton fined for selling Whiskey without a license and above the rate Nov. 17, 1778. John Minton fined 10 pounds ten shillings for selling Whiskey without a license again in 1782(He could not pay). SOURCE: County Court Minutes 1777-1787.

Isaac is in 1787 Personal Property Tax with an over 16 and under 21 yr old male in household. Don’t know who this male is. Could it be Phillip?

Richard Minton was a constable in 1780-1782 in Washington Co. TN.
In 1781 he was licensed to keep an ordinary, which in addition to affording food and lodging to travelers, also furnished liquor and a few of the staple articles of merchandise. SOURCE: Goodspeed’s History of Washington Co. TN.
Richard Minton was listed as one of the people who helped lay out the Town Lots and one of the first owners of a lot in Jonesboro, TN. founded on Nov. 4, 1779, Jonesboro is the oldest town in TN.
