"The Memorial of the Family of Thomas and Dorothy Burgess" (1865) and other printed accounts confine their identification to the dau. of Joseph and Patience Burgess to the designations given in his will. But Rebecca, b. 17 Jan 1667/8 [Sandwich Vital Records; Mayflower Descendant 14:171], m. ca 1692 Edward Rose (not Ross); and Dorothy, b. 12 Nov 1670, m. ca 1689, Savery Clifton and had a number of children per Rochester Vital Records.
