t appears that Caleb came to Massachusetts with his parents Roger Conant and Sarah Horton and that he somewhat later was able to return back overseas to England (probably for an education) where he died. "Caleb Conant, late beyond seas, batchelor. Admission granted 11 Nov, 1633 to his uncle by the fathers side, John Conant, clerk". It is probable that letters of administration were taken for the reason that he was entitled to a small portion under the will of his grandfather, Richard Conant.
