is death record states that he died at Dartmouth 8 March 1719/20 in his 88th year, and so must have been born in England and probably came with his mother on a later boat than his father. He married first, going to his old hometown of Sandwich, on 10 Oct 1665, Patience Gifford, daughter of William^{1 A}. She was alive as late as 20 May 1674^B. They removed to Dartmouth when his father died and remained there. They had five children, born between 1667 and 1674: Sarah, Experience, Temperance, John and Robert^B. Richard married second on 2 Nov 1678, Abigail, widow of Zoeth Howland, who was killed in King Philip’s War. Zoeth was son of Henry and Mary (Newland)^C. He left Abigail with nine children, and in order that she might be able to bring them up, the Court on 3 July 1678 granted her the whole of Zoeth’s estate. On 2 Nov 1678 she married Richard Kirby^D. She had died before Richard wrote his will on 30 Jan 1707/08^E. The will was proved 4 April 1720.
