oseph was a private under Capt. Job
Crocker and Lt. Joshua Bangs in Maj. Winslow’s Co., MA from
December, 1776 to March, 1777. His survivor’s pension
application no. S4557. Joseph was one of the original group to
form the Licking Company to emigrate to Ohio from Tolland and
Granville MA. He was an organizing member of the Granville
