he Providence Gazette has
numerous mentions of Anthony. He was chosen to be a Grand Juryman
(May 1654), was part of a committee "to buy Joseph Pecks
house, to make it fit for the Ministry" (Nov. 2, 1663), in
1678 was on a committee to finish the meeting house, and then in
1680 to sell it. In 1673 he was deputy to the Court, and May 8,
1680, townsman. He was Representative to the General Court in
Boston and made a donation (£14.0s.2d.) to "Phillips
War". A notice of sale of 275A on the road from Providence
