A First Aid Kit
Emergencies happen all the time and you need to be
prepared not just for your family, but your dog or pet as well since they are part of your
family. In any emergency call your veterinarian immediately. Give him or her as much
information as possibe as to what caused the emergency. That way, the vet will give you
specific instructions to remedy your dogs situation. So, always keep a canine first-aid
kit on hand and check it periodically for any missing items, and any expired, spilled, or
dried up liquids. It is a good idea to replace any liquids after they've been used to
prevent any germs to settle in since you don't know the next time you're going to use
them. A rule of thumb is to discard any liquid 30 days after opening to prevent an
infection, so labeling the container is a must! Always follow up with a visit to your
veterinarian for further care.
