Our Barrett family came from Ireland into Canada (possibly into Hamilton, Ontario).
James Barrett was married to Ellen Keatting. They had at least three children:

1. Mary Barrett born in 1837 in Ireland. She married James Cooney.
2. Bridget Barrett born 1841 in Canada or New York. She married Frederick Baltzinger.
3. James Francis Barrett born about 1846 in New York or PA. He married Anna May Mitchell.

Ellen Keatting Barrett married second Stephen Glenn and had children Ellen & Stephen.

James Francis Barrett and Anna May Mitchell had children:

1. Katherine married Mark Berry
2. Mary died 1925 in Jamestown, NY
3. James Jacob married Mary Blanche Welch in 1904
4. Sarah married Charles Wilbur
5. Margaret married John O'Toole
6. Bessie married Bert Hunt
7. Helen married William Flynn
