9th Great Grandfather, John Doane, was born about 1590 in England.
He married Anne Perkins and immigrated to America about 1630.
John was listed as a Freeman of the Incorporation of Plymouth in 1633 along with Edward Wynslow, Gov, Capt. Myles Standish, Wm Bradford, John Howland, John Alden, Stephen Hopkins, and Wm Gilsop.
The family then lived in Eastham, Barnstable Co, MA.
Children born to John and Ann:
  1. Lydia married Samuel Hicks
  2. Abigail born 1631 married Samuel Lothrop
  3. John Jr. married Hannah Bangs in 1662 and Rebecca Pettee in 1694
  4. Daniel married Hepzibah Cole
  5. Ephraim married Mercy Knowles
John Jr. and Hannah had seven children. Line continues with their daughter, Rebecca, who married Elisha Paine.
