This early French Canadian family started in France with Guillaume and Jeanne (Mathieu).
Their son, Guillaume, was born 1654 in the parish of St Laurent in Paris. He was in New France by the fall of 1675. In 1679, he married Catherine Pelletier and they had six children.
Catherine died 21 May 1690 at the Hôtel-Dieu at Quebec and in July Guillaume married Marie-Madeleine Baret/Barette.
Guillaume and Marie-Madeleine had 11 children. Line continues with Jean who married Marguerite Gariepy in 1718 at Château Richer. They had at least five children and I am seeking any information on son, Louis, who was born in 1738 at Château Richer.
He married Louise Gosselin in 1762 and the only child of theirs that I know about was Jean who married Genevieve Gagnon in 1802.
