Genealogy Links
These are some of my favorite genealogy links. Check them
out--they might help you find the information you're looking for.
If you come across a new one that you like, please tell me about it and
I'll include it on this page!
- USGENWEB-the first
site that I came across which was really helpful. This is
a definite must-see! The main page includes links to
states, which, in turn, have links to county genealogy
homepages. The site also has record archives for states.
- Cyndi's List-a
much-heralded site by the online genealogy community! It
is VERY comprehensive, cross-referenced and catagorized
list of genealogy resources on the Internet.
- Family Tree
Maker Online-another helpful Internet site. The
homepage is aimed towards Family Tree Maker users (which,
I am proud to say, I am one of), but also has a feature
intended for combing the Internet in search of ancestors.
By the way--if you are not storing your genealogy info on
your computer, or if you are dissatisfied with your
genealogy program, you should definitely look into Family
Tree Maker. I couldn't live without it!
- SurnameWeb-this
site has genealogy information sorted by--you guessed
it--surname. It also has a link to the SurnameRing (I
think that's what it's called).
- Dave's
Root Cellar Genealogy Starting Point-this site has
links to a lot of very informative resources. It was the
place where I found some of these links. It's definitely
worth a look!
- GenForum-this site
has many, many surname-related forums on it.
- Genealogy's
Most Wanted-queries and other resources.
