Schedule for the 8th National Basset Hound Championship Show

Judging commences at 10am

This show is to be held under the rules and regulations of the VCA a copy of which may be inspected at the office of the secretary of the day.   No exhibitor over the age of 18 years who is a resident of Victoria can exhibit, handle or officiate in the judging ring unless he or she is a financial member of the VCA.

Entries: Entry forms accompanied by fees are to be sent to the Show Secretary together with a stamped, self addressed envelope for the return of exhibit numbers.

Entry fees: First entry $15.00, subsequent entries $12.00. Baby Puppy $10.00 if only entry $12.00
Entry fees include all applicable VCA levies.

Special Classes:

Veteran Classes: 12, 12a

Property Classes: Best Headed Dog
Best Fronted Dog
Best Gaited Dog		 Best Headed Bitch
Best Fronted Bitch
Best Gaited Bitch

To compete in property classes a dog or bitch must be entered in at least one ordinary class.  Challenge Dog and Bitch are ineligible to compete in property classes.

Sashes and trophies for all In-Show winners and Opposites. Ribbons and Trophies for all class winners.

Junior handlers' classes will be conducted during the lunch break if there is sufficient interest.

Timetable of events

10.00am National Show commences with introduction of the Judge followed by breed classes.
12.15pm Lunch break. Approximate time, break will occur at a suitable point in the judging.
1.15pm Judging resumes.
End of Show In-Show trophies will be presented in the ring.

Please note there will be a 15 minute break at the completion of bitch property classes to allow competitors time to prepare for in-show judging.

At the completion of the show afternoon tea and meet the judge. Perpetual trophies will be presented at this time.

Basset people - this will be the end to what will be a fabulous show, so do join us, take the time to relax and chat to fellow exhibitors.
